Services & Meetings Schedule

Our Mission is to Know Christ, and to Make Him Known

Every Lord’s Day the Stanton Lees fellowship gathers together to worship God. The younger ones meet in the morning, and our preaching services are held later in the day. Here is a brief list of what we do in a typical week:

Sunday: 8.00am – Short Prayer Meeting – About 30 minutes

Sunday: 10.00am – Sunday School – Explorers & Bible Class for ages 3 to 16 years.

Sunday: 2.30pm & 6.30pm Worship Services – Typically our services last about an hour, and will include reading from the Bible, the singing of hymns, and prayers. In both services there will be a sermon based upon God’s word, the Bible.

Monday: 7.30pm – Prayer Meeting – (This meeting is held on Wednesday in July and August).

Wednesday: 7.30pm – Bible Study – (This meeting is given over to prayer in July and August)

Friday: 6.00pm-7.15pm – Little Wayfinders – for Primary School age children (at the Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale)

Friday: 7.30pm ’till late – Big Wayfinders – for those at Secondary School or College (at the Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale)

Each week at the ‘Wayfinders’ clubs there is a short Bible based message, either before or after an activity. The actvities are organised to suit the relevant age groups and include games, cooking, sports, and trips out. The clubs are led by members and friends of the church, and transport is provided, either using the church minibus, or by using leaders cars. A minibus collection service is available by arrangement.

We trust that those who attend the clubs will not only enjoy themselves but learn about the God of the Bible.

Details of other meetings organised by the church, such as our Open Air evangelism in Bakewell, and our annual Bible School in August can be viewed by clicking on the relevant link in the ‘drop down’ menu underneath the ‘WHAT’S ON’ tab at the top of this page. or by visiting the Church Diary page.
